SR 11 / US 129 Widening & Reconstruction
As the prime consultant, Keck & Wood is providing the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project management and roadway design services for a 3 mile roadway in Hall County north of the city of Gainesville. The project includes 1.5 miles of widening existing roadway and 1.5 miles of roadway on new location. The project includes widening an existing two lane bridge to 4 lanes nad the construction of several mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls to avoid stream impacts. As the Project Manager, K&W is managing multiple consultants that are providing environmental studies and documentation, bridge and wall design, field surveying, subsurface utility locating, existing pavement evaluation, soils survey, Bridge Foundation Investigation Report and Underground Storage Tank and Hazardous Waste Report. Constrution is anticpated to begin in 2025.
