Being a senior level landscape architect at Keck & Wood is a position of leadership within the company. The work being completed by our Landscape Architecture team is divided into multiple sectors; our community development team delivers active parks, passive parks, greenways, streetscapes and downtown revitalization for communities, local governments and municipalities. Our site|development group supports teams who develop commercial properties, industrial parks & municipal facilities.
We are looking for an individual who can lead a team of talented landscape architects across three offices towards building a strong market segment within the company, with a continual focus on client satisfaction. As a design leader of a creative team, you will:
- Collaborate with a team of landscape architects, engineers & planners across our offices to provide expertise to internal and external engineering and project management teams
- Work directly with and support others in developing client relationships; manage projects; and serve as a thought leader and mentor for our team of landscape architects
- Provide coordination and oversight for general and sub-contractors; keep, develop and maintain accurate communications, along with project documentation, from inception to close out
- Build relationships and coordinate with city/county parks & recreation, planning, public works, neighborhood associations, private and commercial developers, and others; be effective in your communication and cooperation with these and other stakeholders to advance projects and build relationships.

The right skills….for your success!
We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning or related field from an accredited college or university
- Registration as a Landscape Architect in the state of Georgia and/or South Carolina or ability and willingness to pursue registration within 6 months
- A minimum of 15 years of directly related design and/or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3-D, SketchUp, Lumion, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Google & Microsoft Office Suite; possess the ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Strong design and graphic skills, both digital and hand drawn
- Ability to develop creative designs that are functional and aesthetically pleasing and understanding of landscape installation and construction methods
- Ability to produce and manage the production of contract plans and specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate and work effectively with clients and employees at all levels
- A desire to learn, challenge yourself, and work with a group to achieve a common goal
- Ability to work well with others and thrive on a team
- The willingness and ability to invest the time to build teams, and lead a market to serve clients and grow the company
- Ability to embody our brand by treating clients and employees with courtesy and respect
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to project sites for construction review and contract administration. Fieldwork involves exposure to weather, traffic, and loud noise and requires extensive walking over uneven surfaces and various terrains.
