How man-made and natural environments relate to each other can profoundly affect the quality of life for all who use a space. In fact, the term “place-making” is often used to describe what landscape architects do. We describe it as the art and science of blending built and natural environments to enhance elements of each and create spaces that serve aesthetic, ecological, and human needs.
