Keck & Wood, Inc. recently presented at the APWA Annual Meeting about how the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Fish Passage Program can be used to replace culverts that impede the passage of aquatic species. A good example of this would be replacing a perched culvert with a bottomless one. We have successfully used this Program to fund culvert replacement projects that promote the passage of aquatic species while addressing undersized culverts that are causing flooding and damage to rural roads.
