Keck & Wood managed the planning, design, and construction of this entire project. K+W’s services also included site planning, floodplain and wetland issues, design of roadways, storm drainage, potable water, sewer, and construction administration.

The Berry Company contacted Keck+Wood to design the award winning 168-acre mixed-use project located on I-77 in Rock Hill, SC.  The project included the re-development of a municipal wastewater lagoon and solid-waste transfer station sites. In addition to the infrastructure, the project also included office, retail, restaurants, a movie cinema, and residential townhouses.

One of the major concerns for this development was combining the multiple roadways, parking lots, pedestrian walks and common areas, along with a re-design and signalization of two intersections along a controlled access highway.

The project resulted in economic growth for the region, additional shops and amenities for residents, as well as recognition from the EPA through the receiving the Phoenix Award, which was given to the project for its treatment and preservation of the environment.
