Water + Sewer Study for the Town of Heath Springs

This project involved a full water and sewer study, giving the Town of Heath Springs a technical, financial, and operational roadmap for keeping its system viable and meeting SCDES regulations. The Keck + Wood team inventoried all system assets using GPS, performed condition assessments of manholes, lift stations, and appurtenances, then ran hydraulic modeling to fix low-pressure problems. Additionally, the team evaluated the Wastewater Treatment Plant and seven pump stations, focusing on industrial waste capacity and a high water loss rate.

The study produced a combined Capital Improvement Plan and financial rate study. It set short- and long-term infrastructure priorities funded by a RIA grant, plus staffing and management recommendations.
