Sam always figured he’d be an engineer because of his strong affinity for math. But it was his strong affinity for people that brought him to civil engineering.

Sam sees his chosen career ultimately as a way of helping people and his role as that of a trusted advisor. With Keck & Wood staff, it’s about helping younger engineers develop along a path that leads to a successful career. With clients, it’s about walking alongside them – in their shoes – to understand the issues they need to address for their communities. He considers it a privilege to work on projects that transform communities and provide infrastructure that will serve generations to come.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, participating in an elementary school program called Half-Hour Hero, and coming home every day to his amazing wife.
